Thai Herbal Compress Massage
(Nuad Pra Kob)
This Thai massage uses a herbal compress known as a "Luk Pra Kob": a blend of plants wrapped in cloth and tied into a ball. The compress holds a mix of herbs such as cassumunar, camphor and kaffir lime. It is heated with steam, then pressed gently onto the areas of tension in your body.
Each booking is 15 minutes longer than the massage, to welcome you. Normal pressure.
The treatment
Thai herbal compress massage (Nuad Pra Kob) is an ancient technique that comes from the Nuad Thai tradition. It pairs the movements of Thai massage with the warmth and fragrance of Thai plants, gathered into compresses brought from Thailand.
"Luk Pra Kob" literally means "ball of pressed herbs". Each compress holds a blend of fresh or dried herbs: cassumunar (Thai ginger), camphor with its cooling notes, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, turmeric and many more.
The compresses are steamed until they release their aromas, then pressed onto the body in a steady rhythm. Their gentle warmth helps release muscle tension, while the scent of the plants invites deep relaxation.
